Strange Behavior    Yesterday late afternoon saw an obvious presence from the usually unseen rat population of not just Manhattan, but the Bronx, Queens, and Brooklyn as well, they gathered in the open building up in numbers until it became impossible to drive without running them over or walk without disturbing the animals. Then came the bugs, the snakes, the bats, and other animals who normally spend the greater part of their life underground or only coming out at night. Then they started attacking, not each other but humans, throwing themselves at windows, at cars, at doors, doing anything and everything they could to get at humans. People in the open, or who had open doors or windows, were quickly overwhelmed. This behavior persisted until about midnight and then they started breaking up. Many dead rats, snakes, bats, bugs were found around their usual haunts come morning.

Did They Get You?    If you were scratched, cut, bit, had a reaction to, or were adversely affected physically by the animals last night please go to your nearest hospital to be checked out. If you are showing symptoms of a high fever, problems concentrating, remembering, speaking, or if you find you wish to react to things violently, show signs of an unusual rash or unexplained blisters, please go to your nearest hospital to be checked out. While we do not yet know what caused this behavior in these particular animals, we would like to make sure there is no ill effects from coming in contact with them. Authorities will keep everyone apprised of what is found.
