Supernatural Registration Deemed Unconstitutional     Yesterday afternoon a district court judge ruled that the Supernatural Registration was unconstitutional on the grounds that it singled people out on the basis of their race. The attorney speaking on behalf of the people pointed out that not only was it singling out a very small number of people, it was doing so on the grounds of what they were. With guns, with blades, with any other weapon, they can be taken away, but it would be highly unlikely that someone could take away what the supernatural are.
It was also revealed yesterday that Mr. Whyte, the drag queen Coco Shannel, was murdered by someone wearing a glove that bore metallic claws, not by something supernatural. It was further pointed out, how much good the supernatural community in the city has done for the city. Minimizing the damage from the tidal wave, protecting as many people as possible (at least where people listened and did as they were told) from that wave, helping the city rebuild safely and quickly, ensuring the power was restored as soon as possible every time it failed, and performing heroic rescues.
The attorneys for the Mayor and City Council did their best to defend their clients' actions, pointing out the various problems that have also cropped up. The carnage that was the result of the attempts at saving people. Even going so far as to point to the Avenger movies and how it was internationally agreed that those of unusual abilities be registered and agree to a set of laws and restrictions. This last argument flew about as well as the Hulk with the judge and earned them no points.
While the judge did rule that the registration was unconstitutional he also said that something needed to be done to ensure that the supernatural did not just run roughshod over the rest of the world.

The First District Supernatural Court    Agreeing with the judge, the President has formed the Supernatural Court, which is being given a trial run in New York City. The First District Supernatural Court is located in the Crystal Building, and is being overseen by Zillah. Law enforcement agencies are being directed to bring those they suspect of being supernatural to the Crystal Building where they will be taken into custody and their case heard and tried in the Supernatural Court. While human laws will be looked at and upheld when and were possible, the laws of each supernatural group will hold priority.
People who have issue with the supernatural can bring them to the court and seek recompense for any issues, assuming the case goes in their favor, just like in regular court.
